Second National Economists’ Conference-2079 Successfully Completed

NECS Nepal successfully organized Second National Economists’ Conference in Kathmandu, Nepal in March 10-11, 2023. The president of the organization Ganga Bahadur Thapa chaired the opening ceremony of the conference.

On behalf of the organization, Dr. Jeeban Amgain presented his paper on “Current economic scenario and transformation issues in Nepalese economy”. Prof. Dr. Shiva Raj Adhikari, Head of Central Department of Economics, Tribhuvan University, put his remarks on it. Bhim Prasad Pant, General Secretary of the organization, gave a congratulatory speech on behalf of the organization. The Former Chief Secretary Leela Mani Paudyal highlighted the purpose of the conference and justification of the program. And at last Dipendra Bahadur Chhetri reviewed the first opening session of the conference as a whole.

Other distinguished key note speakers were honorable Gagan Thapa, Mahamantri of Nepali Congress Party; Dr. Bijaya Paudel, Leader of CPN-US; honorable Ram Kumar Phuyal, Member of National Planning Commission; Maha Prasad Adhikari, Governer of Nepal Rastra Bank; Shiva Lal Bhusal, VC of TU; Min Raj Kandel Chairman of National Cooperative Federation of Nepal and Krishna Acharya, chairman of IPPAN and representative of private organizations. And the end of the first day ceremony Dipendra Bahadur Chhetri, advisor of NECS Nepal put vote of thanks.

Second National Economists’ Conference 2023: Call for Paper

National Economic Concern Society Nepal (NECS Nepal), in cooperation with some national corporate bodies and their umbrella organizations, has announced Second National Economists’ Conference 2023. The conference is going to be held on 10th March, 2023 in Kathmandu. The major objective of this conference is to bring current economic issues into public discourse among national economists and other stakeholders, and explore the ways for solution. This year we have the conference theme on Facilitate for investment, promote domestic production and utilization to strengthen national economy. The high level government authorities, policymakers, economists, researchers and entrepreneurs are expected to participate at the program.

We would like request you to contribute a paper for presentation at this conference. We have selected some special thematic topics for panel discussion and other open papers for general sessions.

Special thematic topics include

Economists’ First National Conference- 2022 Successfully Completed

NECS Nepal successfully organized National Economists’ Conference for the first time in Nepal in March 25-26, 2022. Ganga Bahadur Thapa Chaired the opening ceremony of the conference. The chief guest of the conference was honorable Finance Minister Janardan Sharma. Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, former Prime Minister of Nepal participated as a special guest delivering key note. Other distinguished key note speakers were honorable Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, Leader, Nepali Congress Party; honorable Ghanashyam Bhushal, Leader, Communist Party Nepal, UML; honorable Shakti Basnet, leader, Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Centre) and honorable Ram Kumar Phuyal, member of National Planning Commission; Prof. Dr. Shiva Raj Adhikari, Head, Central Department of Economics, Tribhuan Uniersity and Min Raj Kandel Chairman, National Cooperative Federation of Nepal. The welcome Speech was delevered by Prof. Dr. Jiba Nath Dhital, Member of NECS Nepal.

Economists’ First National Conference 2022: Call for Papers

National Economic Concern Society (NECS), Nepal has announced Economists’ First National Conference 2022. The conference will be held in Kathmandu on February 11-12, 2022. Government authorities, policymakers, entrepreneurs and senior economists are scheduled to participate the conference. The conference will also set up common economic agenda needed for the prosperity of the nation. NECS would like to call papers from economists and research scholars for the upcoming conference. The theme and guideline of the papers are as follows.
